DOWNTOWN FARMER’S MARKET – Beginning mid-July and continuing through September, this is an outdoor market featuring fresh produce, breads and cheeses. River and Railroad Avenue. 9:00 am to 1:00 pm Saturdays.

SATURDAY NIGHT AT THE MOVIES ON THE GREEN. – A full length feature movie presented outdoors on Milford’s historic town green. Five movies are planned this summer. Bring a picnic and enjoy this free entertainment with friends and family. Movies on the Green begins Saturday, May 31st at 9:00 pm. Check local newspapers or our website, www.downtownmilfordct.com for feature information and future dates and times.

THE PIRATES’ BALL -- A great way to kick off the 3rd Annual Captain Kidd Treasure Hunt, this by reservation only event will feature music and dancing and everyone must dress the part to be admitted. Admission will be charged at the door. Rain or shine. Friday, June 13th, 6:00 to 10:00 pm.

THE 3RD ANNUAL CAPTAIN KIDD’S TREASURE HUNT - This annual treasure hunt through-out downtown Milford features a treasure map, free booty, lots of entertainment and, of course, Captain Kidd and his pirates and wenches. Rain or shine. No admission—free and open to everyone. June 14th 10:00 to 5:00.

FRIDAY NIGHT AT THE OYSTER FESTIVAL – A great preview to the 34th Annual Oyster Festival this co-sponsored event features 1,000s of free pearls and a fun summer evening of shopping and entertainment. August 15th, 5 to 9:00 pm.

THE 34TH ANNUAL OYSTER FESTIVAL –Hosted by the Oyster Festival Committee. August 16th, 10:00 to 5:00 pm.

THE 2ND ANNUAL OPEN DOORS OF MILFORD—Preview begins August 16th 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. Throughout downtown Milford Connecticut artists will be displaying their original design interpretations on plain recycled doors. This 6-week outdoor event culminates with a lively auction of the Doors with a portion of the proceeds donated to a local charity. August 16th through September 27th.

THE OPEN DOORS OF MILFORD PAINT-A-THON—Made possible through a grant from the State of Connecticut and the Milford Fine Arts Council this outdoor event invites artists of any age to an outdoor painting festival on Milford’s town green. Paints and canvases will be provided. This event is free and open to everyone with an artistic bent. September 6th, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 pm.


THE OPEN DOORS OF MILFORD AUCTION – This benefit auction of the
DOORS OF MILFORD is a lively event featuring a local celebrity as the event host. Daniel Street Café. September 28th 3:00 to 6:00 pm

HAUNTED STORIES TOUR -- Select area businesses throughout downtown will be hosting haunted stories performed in their stores. Reservations required. Free. May not be suitable for very young children. October 24th and 25th 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

THE FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS – Sponsored by the Milford Chamber of Commerce this yearly event heralds the arrival of Santa Claus to our town green. Music, carriage rides, and great shopping at local businesses. November 28th 5:00 to 9:00 pm.

THE 7TH ANNUAL LAMPLIGHT STROLL—Pick up your passport and by visiting local stores you are eligible to win a gift basket filled with 100s of dollars worth of gifts from Milford businesses. Entertainment, carriage rides, and great shopping, make this a favorite holiday event. December 5th from 5:00 to 9:00 pm, December 6th from 10:00 to 5:00 pm.
